The consultations are conducted online via zoom. Before your appointment, you'll complete a detailed behavior history form and submit videos of the behavior along with photos of their environmental set up. During the consultation, we'll discuss your concerns, identify potential underlying causes, and create a customized behavior modification plan.
-
Because many behavior concerns can have underlying medical causes, a recent veterinary examination is strongly recommended before treating the problem behaviorally.
If I believe a medical issue could be contributing to your cat's behavior, I will advise you to consult with your veterinarian.
-
I can address a wide range of feline behavior concerns, including litter box issues, aggression, anxiety, fearfulness, excessive vocalization, destructive scratching, inter-cat conflicts, introductions of new pets, and stress-related behaviors.
Note: If your cat's behavior has changed suddenly, I strongly recommend a veterinary evaluation to rule out medical causes.

YES! Virtual consultations allow me to observe your cat within their normal environment while minimizing stress. Photos, videos, and a thorough behavioral assessment provide the information needed to accurately identify behavioral triggers and create an effective treatment plan. Your videos, photos, and observations are critical in directly targeting behavior triggers because you observe your cat day to day and using the videos we can study the behavior more closely than a momentary observation.
-
The assessment is based on your observations, behavioral history, and any videos you provide however if I’d like to demo a treatment or approach, or if there’s something you like me to watch you cat doing in the moment please do mention it.

Every cat and situation is unique and we will always move at your cat’s pace. Some families notice improvement within days of implementing recommendations, while more complex cases may require several weeks or months of consistent management and training. Success depends on factors such as how long the behavior has been taking place, how the behavior has been addressed, your cat's history, personality, and needs, and how consistently the plan is followed.
-
Every cat and situation is unique. Some concerns can be addressed with a single consultation and written plan, while more complex cases may benefit from follow-up sessions to monitor progress and adjust recommendations. We'll discuss realistic expectations and I can recommend the level of support best suited to your cat's needs.
-
Behavior improvement depends on many factors, including the nature of the issue, your cat's history, health, environment, and consistency with the recommended plan.
While no ethical behavior professional can guarantee specific outcomes, my goal is to provide evidence-based guidance and ongoing support to help you achieve meaningful, lasting improvements.
-
Yes! Your consultation includes a detailed written behavior treatment plan and consultation summary with follow-up support recommendations to help you implement your plan successfully.
Ongoing counseling and additional follow-up sessions are also available for families who would like continued guidance throughout their cat's behavioral journey.
-
In certain circumstances, I may offer discounted follow-up services to clients who have previously purchased a consultation package. My goal is to support long-term success and ensure families have access to continued guidance when needed.
I am also proud to support rescue organizations and recently adopted cats. If you adopted your cat through a rescue or shelter, the organization is welcome to contact me directly to discuss potential partnership or referral discounts. While discounts are offered on a case-by-case basis, I am always happy to explore ways to make professional behavioral support more accessible for adopters and the cats in their care.
